I'm not much of a gamer. I'm more of an artist where the controller is my pencil. That sounds boastful, and I don't mean it to -- I just like to think in terms of mastery when it comes to games. In other words, I don't instantly become infatuated with whatever new first person shooter or popular game is released: I stick to my roots and truly appreciate the classics, and the games that really make you explore possibilities.Even MORE about me!My name's Stephen. Call me stuff, SSBMstuff, Steve, or Stephen. Just don't call me SSBM--I hate it when people do that; sadly, I am not one of the best games ever created. I was born in the state of Michigan on August 3rd, 1993, but moved to Mesa, Arizona before I was even a year old (Yeah, I drove the truck personally). Consequently, I remember nothing of Michigan.I am 18 now and currently attend community college on honors scholarships & federal aid because I am just one of the millions of naïve kids, tricked into believing that college is the only road to a successful future. As a result, my major is undecided, though I'm exploring possibilities in the fields of math/business/computers. I don't even know why I'm going, but it's the proper thing to do--or so I've been told.Cynicism aside, video games have always been a part of me. If memory serves, the first system we (my older brother & sister and me) owned was a PS1, and the first game, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. I first played Super Smash Bros. Melee somewhere around 2004, with little to no background in SSB64. I played with my best friend every single weekend against CPUs. We sucked, admittedly. Didn't know about anything even as simple as a wavedash. I remember being stunned when we figured out what happened to your character when you pressed 'R' in the air. We called it "breakdancing" hahaha, don't ask me why.Around 2007 was when I became fascinated with Home-Run Contest. My Total High Score was about 29,000ft, and I was convinced I was one of the best in the world. The same friend I mentioned earlier found and showed me MAC's Captain Falcon HRC video (ABA, 9BDs) on YouTube at some point, and little did I know that my life (yes I'll use the word life; the impact was genuinely humongous) would forever be different after that moment.I consider 2007 to be my "start-up year" in stadium. I didn't do a whole lot with other stadium modes besides HRC (whereas nowadays I often play Break the Targets too). My THS quickly increased to about 70,000ft, but I was still a mere average player. To date {Mar. 02, 2012}, my THS is closing in on 110k in SSBM. There aren't more than about 50 people in the world who are ahead of me. I haven't said much about Brawl/SSBB in this, but I dropped out of the THS race long ago. My THS, about 150k, is nothing to brag about.[Note: The above passage wasn't oriented for a YouTube description.
