This exercise demands complete integration of your entire neuromuscular system. You must engage and stilize the lateral chain, stabilize your scapula (shoulder blade) and lift out of the glenohumeral joint - GHJ (shoulder joint). The supporting hand is usually placed directly under the GHJ but I am placing it at a 90 degree angle in relation to the spine. I am using 20 lb Hex Dumb Bells for this manouver. You can do this with no weight, with lighter dumb bells, or with circular dumb bells. If you have GHJ, hip, back or neck issues, please check with your physician, physical therapist, chiropractor or a knowledgeable personal trainer. Please use common sense when trying new techniques.Visit us at "http://www.absutrafitness.com" for more information
