An effective, functional way to train the abs. More specific to deadlift/squat performance than lying crunches. In this vid there is resisted spinal extension between each rep to increase the range of motion the abs are working. crunch your the bottom of your ribs towards your hips rather than just flexing at the hip joint, which will otherwise work the hip flexors. You should get a tight curling action of the torso.
